National Leaders Convene for PNA Events in Denver

Oct 10, 2012| By: PNA Staff

On October 3 Project New America hosted two events to coincide with the first Presidential debate in our hometown of Denver, Colorado.

Our first event, called the “Western Battleground” briefed members of the press and the public on our groundbreaking survey of Western undecided voters.  The poll offered a detailed picture of who western undecided voters are, and how they will ultimately make up their minds. The briefing, which was headlined by Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper, was followed by a panel of Western experts that included Senior Advisor to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid Rebecca Lambe, Campaign Manager for Mark Udall ('08) and John Hickenlooper ('10) Mike Melanson, Arizona Legislator and candidate for Congress (CD-09) Kyrsten Sinema and 2008 Colorado State Director for Obama for America Ray Rivera.

During the debate, PNA co-hosted a watch party with Democracy Alliance, Priorities USA Action, Majority PAC, House Majority PAC, Patriot Majority, American Bridge 21st Century, and America Votes Action Fund.  The event was attended by notable figures like House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, Governor John Hickenlooper, Denver Mayor Michael Hancock, Congressman Ed PerlmutterBill Burton of Priorities USA Action and Priorities USA, and many others.
